Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how EEAT Analyser handles information when you use our Chrome extension and website (eeatanalyser.netlify.app). By using EEAT Analyser you agree to this policy.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This document is written in plain English so you can clearly understand how your data is handled — not buried in legal language.
Who does this apply to?
This policy applies to all users of the EEAT Analyser Chrome extension and the eeatanalyser.netlify.app website, regardless of location.
Data We Collect
We collect only the absolute minimum. Here is the complete list — nothing is hidden:
- SEO analysis results — created when you analyse a URL. Stored on your device only (chrome.storage.local).
- Name & email address — only if you submit the support form. Delivered to our Gmail inbox, not stored in any database.
- Support message content — only if you submit the support form. Used to reply, then it’s just an email.
What We Do NOT Collect
We want to be completely transparent. We never collect any of the following:
EEAT Analyser has no analytics scripts, no tracking pixels, no advertising SDKs, and no remote logging of any kind. The extension is completely silent unless you actively click Analyse.
How & Where Data Is Stored
Extension data — your device only
All SEO analysis results are stored exclusively in chrome.storage.local — Chrome’s built-in local storage. This storage lives on your device and is completely inaccessible to us or any third party.
- chrome.storage.local (your device) — last 100 analyses: URL, score, issue count, timestamp. We cannot see it.
- Our servers — nothing stored.
- Any third-party cloud — nothing stored.
How to delete your data
Open the Dashboard → click Clear All to wipe everything instantly. Or simply uninstall the extension — Chrome removes all associated storage automatically.
Chrome Extension Permissions
We request only the permissions strictly needed to make EEAT Analyser work. Every one is explained below:
- activeTab — reads the content of the tab you’re viewing, only when you click the extension icon. Completely inactive while you browse normally.
- storage — saves your analysis history to chrome.storage.local on your own device. This data never leaves your machine.
- tabs — opens the analysis report in a new tab and reads the current tab’s URL so the popup can display it.
- notifications — shows a single Chrome notification when a batch analysis finishes. Never used for marketing.
- host_permissions <all_urls> — lets the background service worker fetch HTML from any URL you explicitly request. Only triggered by your deliberate action — never passive.
Third-Party Services
Here is the complete list of every third-party service we use:
- Google Fonts — loads typefaces on our website. Shares your IP address as a standard web request only.
- Google Apps Script — forwards support form submissions to our Gmail. Shares name, email and message — not stored in any database.
- Netlify — hosts the website. Standard server logs (IP, timestamp).
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have specific legal rights over your personal data. We honour all of these rights for all users, regardless of location.
- Right to Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold. We confirm in writing within 5 business days.
- Right to Deletion — delete local data anytime via Dashboard → Clear All. For support correspondence, email us.
- Right to Rectification — we’ll correct any incorrect information promptly.
- Right to Portability — export any analysis as CSV or JSON from the dashboard — no request needed.
- Right to Object — object to any processing of your data at any time.
- Right to Restrict — ask us to pause processing while a dispute is resolved.
Children’s Privacy
EEAT Analyser is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted data through our support form, please contact us immediately at daksheshbabu@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy as EEAT Analyser evolves. When we make significant changes, we will update the Last updated date at the top of this page and notify users via the Chrome extension release notes.
Continued use of EEAT Analyser after a policy update is posted constitutes acceptance of the changes. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
